Ted C. Holloway, 87, of Marion, IN, passed away at 3:40 PM on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Elmcroft Memory Care of Muncie, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, February 11, 1925, in Fairmount, IN.  The son of Nelson and Opal L. (Key) Holloway.  Ted graduated from the Jefferson Township High School.  He served in the Merchant Marines in 1945 and 1946.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952.  Ted had been a farmer and also had been a truck driver for many years.  Ted was Lifetime Honorary Teamsters member and V.F.W. Member.  He was also a member of the Farm Bureau.  Ted was an avid sports enthusiast and especially loved the cubbies.  He was involved with the Van Buren Pop Corn festival for many years.  Ted was loved by his family and will be greatly missed by them especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A special thank you from the family to the staff of  both the Sterling House of Marion, IN and Elmcroft Memory Care of Muncie, IN. Survivors Include: Daughter - Sheila (Monte) Purciful,  Son - Stephen Holloway, Son - Joseph Holloway, Granddaughter - Tiffany Hunt, Great Granddaughter - Bailey Hunt, Great Granddaughter - Greyson Hunt.  He was preceded in death by: Father - Nelson Holloway, Mother - Opal L. (Key) Holloway, Brother - Gene Holloway.  Services will be Private.  Interment: Van Buren Cemetery.
