Frieda Nussbaum Pyle

Frieda L. Pyle, 89, of Berne, IN, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Swiss Village  where she had been a resident the last  year. She was born on Tuesday, February 28, 1928 to Rufus and Ida Rich Nussbaum.  She married Robert C.  Pyle on Sunday, May 25, 1947, he survives. Frieda was a charter member of Grace Bible Church where she sang in the choir and used her gift of hospitality throughout the years. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and cooking especially baking pies and cookies for family gatherings. A highlight in their 69 years of marriage was going to Camp Gilead, Polk City, Florida during the winter months serving with  others from Berne, at the Children's Bible Mission for 30 years.


Loving Survivors Include two daughters and two sons,  Betty (Jerry) Burke, Berne, IN, Richard (Gayle) Pyle, Roanoke, IN,  Carolyn (James) Moore, David (Cindy) Pyle, Berne, IN, Nine Grandchildren,  Michele (Tim) LeFever,  Michael (Becky) Burke, Kavan Pyle,  Rob Moore, Ryan (Jill) Moore,  Caleb (Paige) Moore,  Tyler (Emily) Pyle,  Gabe (Krista) Pyle, Stacey (Andrew) Smith and 14 Great Grandchildren, and a  brother, Willis (Eleanor) Nussbaum, Decatur, IN.



She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters,  Beatrice Biberstein,  Violet Stump,  Dorothy Zurcher, brother - Gerald Nussbaum, and Grandson - Jeffrey Pyle.



Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Swiss Village Chapel  1350 W. Main St. Berne on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.


A service to celebrate Frieda’s  life will be at Swiss Village  at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 with  Pastor Jeff Gaskill   officiating.  Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery.


Preferred memorials:    Gabe and Krista Pyle, Freedom  International Ministries, Inc.
