Alan "Pete" Douglas Mosser, 57, of Geneva, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 6:14 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his residence in Geneva. He was born on Saturday, July 09, 1960, in Decatur, IN to Florence (Nelson) & Jim Mosser. Pete was a 1978 graduate of South Adams High School. He had a great passion for costume making. He shared his passion for costumes and design at the University of Vermont, where he taught students for 24 years. At the University of Vermont he was heavily involved in the theatre department and producing costumes for several productions at the Royall Tyler Theatre. Pete loved to see his visions come to life in the hundreds of costumes he made. He loved sewing, going for walks and playing various card games. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle heart, which he always used to help people. His motto in life was "I might get old, but I'll never grow up."
Loving survivors include his: Mother - Florence (Nelson) Mosser, Geneva, IN, Sisters - Shirley (Dave) Hutcheson, Swayzee, IN, Pam (Mike) Smith, Millersburg, IN, Vickie (Ben) Hough, Geneva, IN, Cindy (Nou) Phouleuanghong, Warsaw, IN, several Nieces & Nephews, Cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his Father -James "Jim" Mosser.
The family will be holding a memorial service at High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM.
