Peggy J. Pierson, 73, of rural Hartford City, IN, passed away at 11:29 AM on Thursday, August 09, 2012 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.  She was born on Friday, April 21, 1939, in rural Hartford City to Lloyd and Irene Roush.  Peggy J. Roush married Donald Jay Pierson, Sr. on July 6, 1957 at the E.U.B. Church in Hartford City.  She has been a lifetime resident of Washington Township, Blackford County. Mrs. Pierson was a 1957 graduate of Roll High School and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Hartford City. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society at Heritage Pointe, Warren. Peggy enjoyed ceramics, cooking, baking, gardening and especially loved taking care of her grandkids.

Survivors Include: Husband - Donald Jay Pierson, Sr., Hartford City, IN., Daughters - Londa Montgomery, Greenwood, IN. and Karen (Husband, Ron) Burch, Avon, IN., Daughter -In-Law - Carol Pierson, Hartford City, IN., Grandchildren - Craig (Wife, Jessica) Pierson, Hartford City, IN., Curt Pierson, Hartford City, IN., Clint Pierson, Hartford City, IN., Drexel Montgomery, Greenwood, IN. and Step Grandchild - Andrew Burch , Danville, IN., Sister - Connie Kreischer, Hartford City, IN., Aunt - Jean (Husband, George) Ledbetter, Fort Wayne, IN. and Several Nieces.

She was preceded in death by: Father - Lloyd Roush., Mother - Irene (Hurst) Roush and Sons - Donald Jay Pierson, Jr. and Lyndon Pierson.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 13, 2012 with Al Soultz officiating.  Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Warren.
