Charleen S. Markley Roberts, 86, of Marion, IN, passed away at 7:05 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, May 05, 1926, in Chester Center, IN.  Charleen had retired from Applebee's in Marion. She was a member of the Sunnycrest United Methodist Church in Marion and had been a 1944 graduate of Chester Center High School. She had formerly resided in Blackford, Grant and Wells counties. Charleen had been a member of the Moose Lodge and the V.F.W. and had formerly worked for Kerr Glass in Dunkirk and enjoyed crocheting, bingo and puzzles.

Survivors include her daughters  Jane E. (husband, Garland) Roberts Auten, Hartford City,   Judith C. (husband. David) Roberts Gerhart, Marion,  Joslyn S. (husband, Cary) Kuykendell, Conway, AR,  and a son - Jeffrey L. (wife, Emilie) Roberts, Marion, 14-grandchildren,  18-Great Granchildren, and 2-great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Charley and Stella (Grove) Markley,  former husband - Harry J. Roberts,  sons - Charley 'Joel' Roberts and Jack R. Roberts,  brothers - Lewis Markley and Eugene Markley and sisters - Bernice Baker and Joshine Barnes.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 09, 2012 with Pastor Bob Allen officiating.
