Richard C. Sweeney, 77, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 07, 2012 at Heritage Park in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on Saturday, January 19, 1935, in Berne, IN.
Mr. Sweeney retired from D.M.E. Corporation in Detroit, Michigan as a Plastic Design Engineer and a salesman. He was a former member of the American Legion in Rome City and had served with the Air National Guard at Baer Field in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include his son - Michael Charles Sweeney, Fort Wayne, IN and a sister - Jean Cabral, Toledo, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Charles and Eda Mae (Wyss) Sweeney.
There will be only private graveside services on Monday June 11th at the Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva. Pastor Barry McCun will officiate.
