Norma Helen Briner, 82, of Upland, IN, passed away at 4:19 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at The Indiana Heart Canter in Indianapolis, IN . She was born on Tuesday, December 31, 1929, in Wabash, IN to Charles and Esther (Salzman) Scott. Norma graduated from the Marion High School class of 1948. She married Wayne Briner on Saturday, August 26, 1950 in Wabash, IN. Norma was a Deacon member of the Van Buren Central Christian Church, Van Buren, IN, and a life long resident of Grant Co. She was president of the Hanna Circle, and the loyal Workers Class at the church and was also a Van Buren Red Hatters Club member. Survivors: Son - Daryl (Lynda) Briner, Gas City, IN, Daughter - Marsha (William) Nicodemus, Marion, IN, Daughter - Paula Shepherd, Upland, IN, Son - Danny Briner, Son - David (Cindy) Briner, Broken Arrow, OK, Grand Children - 9, Great Grand Children - 15, Brother - Joe (Bridget) Scott, New Mexico, Sister - Gladys Pink, Valparaiso, IN, Several - Neices & Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Father - Charles Scott, Mother - Esther (Salzman) Scott, Husband - Wayne Briner, Grand Child - Randolph Pool, Brothers - David, Wilfred, and Charles Scott. Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Van Buren Central Christian Church, 108 S. First Street, Van Buren, IN on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 10:30AM to 11:30AM Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Church. A service to celebrate Norma's life will be at Van Buren Central Christian Church, 108 S. First Street, Van Buren, IN at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 18, 2012 with the Pastor Heath Jones officiating.
