Alan W. Curtis, age 72, of Bluffton, IN, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2026 at IU Ball Hospital in Muncie IN. He was born on Thursday, January 14, 1954, in Hartford City, IN.  He married Pamela (Bennett) Curtis in 1974 at Hartford City Nazarene Church.  Alan graduated from Blackford High School in 1972 and then went on to ministry schooling. He worked for Corning Glass, EP Graphics in Berne, Parker Hanlin in New Haven, and Berne Apparel. He was the associate pastor at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne, Indiana, senior pastor at Park Lynn Church in Marion, Indiana, and retired from preaching before settling in Bluffton to be close to family. Alan enjoyed being on the CB hand radio in his spare time.

He will be forever missed by his wife of over 50 years, Pamela (Bennett), Curtis, Bluffton, IN, daughter, Tamara Mazelin, Peru, IN, son, Charles (Jennifer) Curtis, Decatur, IN, daughter, Merlie Curtis, Bluffton, IN, brother, Delbert Curtis, Hartford City, IN, grandchildren, Andrew Castaneda, Natalie Lehrman, Joshua Curtis, Preston Curtis, Josie Curtis, and Titis Curtis, great grandchildren, Kynzlie Castaneda, Kohen Castaneda, and Silas Razo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert A. and Irene (Doty) Curtis, brothers, Steven Curtis, Bruce Curtis, Ronald Curtis, Kenny Curtis, Joe Curtis, and Infant Baby Curtis.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Bluffton Church of the Nazarene located at 1515 Clark Ave. Bluffton, IN. from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 4:00 PM with Pastors Tim Miller and Steve Rogers officiating.

Interment will take place in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 20, 2026.
