Alexander James "AJ" Wilburn, 13 days old, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne.

AJ was born on May 18, 2023, at 12:21AM weighing 1lb 9.2 oz and measuring 12inches long. He was born in Huntington, Indiana, to his loving parents, Tyler Wilburn and Angelica Garrobo. Though his time on earth was small, his impact on his loved ones was monumental. AJ had a fighting spirit and would smack the hand of anyone who touched him when he didn't want to be. He was feisty and so expressive, including giving some side eyes to people and always had his tongue out. He enjoyed his time spent with his mommy and daddy and enjoyed their special time together when they'd do cares.

AJ was preceded in death by his brother Elijah James Wilburn, and paternal grandmother, Michelle Maxon.

Loving survivors include his parents, Tyler Wilburn and Angelica Garrobo of Huntington, IN, paternal great-great grandparents Ron and Mary Ann Scher of Warren, IN, paternal great grandparents Eric and Lea Ann Wilburn of Warren, IN, paternal grandfather, Nathan Wilburn of Huntington, IN, maternal great grandparents Connie and Pat Darrington of Missouri, maternal grandfather Obie Pehm of Phoenix, AZ, maternal grandmother Sara Garrobo of Phoenix, AZ, maternal aunts and uncles Shane, Steven, Destiny, Brianna, Courtney, Star, and Faith, paternal aunts and uncles, Cody, Destany, Tabi, and Jordan, great aunts and uncles, Taylor, Brittany, Ethan, and Nicholas Wilburn, and several loving cousins.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Warren United Church of Christ, located at 202 E 2nd St Warren, IN 46792, on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm with a service starting at 7pm with Pastor Troy Drayer officiating.

The family would like to say a special thank you to nurse Alyssa Hamman and nurse Laura and all of the NICU staff for their devoted and amazing care given to AJ and his family.
