Alice Ann Phifer, age 85, of Berne, IN, passed away at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Ossian Health & Rehab Center in Ossian, IN.  She was born on Friday, August 30, 1940, in Berne, IN.  She was married to Roy Phifer who preceded her in death. Alice was a graduate of Adams Central High School. Formerly of Berne, IN., Alice had resided in Frostproof FL. for 10 years and most recently resided in Ossian for the last 3 months. She worked in the Computer Dept. at Caylor-Nickel, CTS, and Micro Precision.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Tamara (Kevin) Nussbaum, Berne, IN, granddaughter, Brandy Bowman, Berne, IN, grandson, Shawn Bowman, Portland, IN, great grandchildren, Chloe Bowman, Jackson Bowman, Jeremy Bowman, and Apollo Schuller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Phifer, father, Tillman Beer, and mother, Ida (Dolch) Beer.

Private family services will be held at a later date with Inurnment in the M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
