Brenda Sue Galloway, 72, of rural Geneva, IN, passed away at 10:55 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 15, 1954, in Ashland, KY, to Paul Edward and Opal Nell Murphy. She married Larry Galloway on June 13, 1982, who survives.

Brenda was a homemaker on a farm; where she raised her family; she enjoyed gardening and raising calves, and she was known as a ‘Granny’ to everybody.

She attended Geneva Church of the Nazarene Church where she served as it's secretary.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry Galloway, Geneva, IN; daughter, Skeeter Williams, Geneva, IN; grandchildren, Casey (John) Smith, Linn Grove, IN, Clarece Shepherd, Geneva, IN, Jimmy Lee Pennington, Pennville, IN, Shilo Shepherd, Berne, IN, Alina Shepherd, Geneva, IN, and Zackary Galloway, Arkansas; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Nella (Paul) Stewart, Grayson, KY, Loretta Runyon, Louisa, KY, Sharon (Curtis) Crye, Catlettsburg, KY, and Roberta Dishman, Waverly, OH; brothers, Paul Ray (Kelly) Murphy, Geneva, IN, Robert (Suzie) Murphy, California, and Richard (April) Murphy, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Edward and Opal Nell Murphy; daughter, Tracy Lee Galloway; son, Russel Wade Galloway; grandchildren, Billy Jack Fisher and Thera Jade Raugh; great-grandson, Dallas Raugh; sister, Francis Nappier; brothers, Sylvester Murphy and David Murphy; and mother-in-law, Beulah Galloway.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva, IN, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, with Rev. Wilbur Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
