Cathy A. Martin, age 76, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 3:58 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her home.  She was born on Monday, March 28, 1949, in Bluffton, IN.  Cathy was first married to Larry E. Penrod who preceded her in death in 1982 and later married John F.  Martin on Wednesday, December 7, 1988 in Blackford Co., IN; he preceded her in death on December 4, 2015.  Cathy was a 1967 graduate of Montpelier High School. She was a lifetime resident of the Montpelier community. She retired from Peyton's Northern in Bluffton. Cathy was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma International, Alpha Chapter in Hartford City. She enjoyed crafting and gardening.

She will be forever missed by her Daughter - Tammie Hinshaw, Celina, OH, Son - Todd Penrod, Montpelier, IN, Daughter - Tara  Crist, Bluffton, IN, Son - Troy Penrod, Montpelier, IN, Sister - Christy (Jerry) Clark, Pennville, IN, Brothers - Robert Slentz, Hartford City, IN, Richard Slentz, Hartford City, IN, 9 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents – Robert and Erla (Ely) Slentz, Brother - Dale Slentz, 1st Husband - Larry E. Penrod, and 2nd Husband - John F. Martin .

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Montpelier.
