Charles D. Koontz, 67, of Marion, IN, passed away at 5:49 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Aperion Care in Marion, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, July 2, 1957, in Marion, IN.  Charles married Vicki D. (Downey) Koontz on Saturday, May 23, 1987 in Marion, IN.  Charles was a 1975 graduate of Marion High School. He had worked at Sunoco Products in Marion, Dean Foods, Prairie Farms, and retired from Huhtamaki Inc. in Marion. Charles enjoyed watching Nascar and Indy car racing. He liked to fish and liked being a cat dad. Charles was a good father, provider, and good friend.

He will be sadly missed by his Wife - Vicki D. (Downey) Koontz, Marion, IN, Daughters - Stacey Koontz, St Louis, Cassandra (Will) Morton, St. Louis, Brother - Stanley (Lisa) Koontz, FL., Brother-in-law - Don Lidy, several Nieces & Nephews, Sister-in-Laws- Connie Columbus, Marion, IN, Sandy (Richard) Miller, Marion, IN, and Best Friend for many years- Chris Blackburn.

He was preceded in death by his Father - John H. Koontz, Mother - Julia L. (Yarber) Koontz, Sister - Ann Lidy, Brothers - Johnny Koontz, & William Koontz, and Brother-in-Law- Christopher Columbus.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Harrisburg Event Center located at 409 N. 1st St. Gas City, IN. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
