Charles "Andy" Moore, 72, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 2:16 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on Thursday, April 12, 1951, in Blackford County, IN to the late Phyllis & Neil F. Moore.  In his childhood years Andy enjoyed sports; a lot of times you could find him playing basketball at Hoover Park with his buddies. After attending Hartford City High School, Andy joined the US Army. He served his country from 1968-1974, where he spent a year and ½ in Vietnam. He was a heavy machine operator for most of his life and worked at RCA in Marion until they closed. He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycles and especially loved his kitty cats, Tom & Dinah.

Loving survivors include his sister, Nancy McCaffery, Muncie, IN, brother, David (Jacki) Moore, Muncie, IN, sister, Ginger Leist, Dunkirk, IN, cousin, Kelli (Fate) Yunker, Decatur, IN, cousin, Susan (Atkinson) Jones, Yoder, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis Atkinson Griffey & Neil F. Moore, brother, Steven Moore and brother-in-law, Paul McCaffery.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, located at 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In honoring Andy's wishes, there will only be visiting hours, no funeral service. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army before the viewing begins at 3:30 PM; all are welcome to attend.
