Christopher "Chris" James Bechtold, 75, of Greensburg, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Our Hospice home in Columbus, IN.

Chris was born on October 28, 1949, in Huntington, IN to Worden and Helen (Stensel) Bechtold.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Chris will be deeply missed by his sister, Connie (Michael) Hutchison of Alvin, TX and niece Natalie Hutchison of Huntsville, TX.

Chris graduated from Covington High School in 1968.  He lived in Denver, CO for several years where he was employed at Rocky Mountain Printing Company.  While living in Colorado, he obtained his Bachelor of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

His passion for music became evident after learning how to play guitar as a teenager.  This love continued on throughout his life.  Chris was also an avid fan of both football and basketball.  March Madness was his favorite time of year.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Covington VFW, located at 1212 Liberty St., Covington, IN 47932 from 2-5pm, March 11, 2025.

His final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN, next to his parents and grandparents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren, IN.
