Dale Ivan Lines, 60, of Wabash, Indiana, formerly of Peru, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 6:24pm at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana.

Dale was born December 24, 1961, and was lovingly raised by his father, Dale Lines, and step-mother, Phyllis (Harner) Lines. Dale attended Oak Hill High School and graduated in 1982.  Dale served his country in the Army National Guard as Lieutenant Sergeant, where he served as a drill sergeant for 36 ½ years. He then worked for Miami County Corrections Facility. Dale enjoyed fishing, loved his pets, and thoroughly enjoyed tormenting and teasing everyone. He was a caring person to all.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, Dale Lines, sister, Patty Lines, wife, Sherry Lines, and step-brother, Randy McPeak.

Loving survivors include his fiancée, Sue Ann Atkinson of Wabash, IN, step-daughter, Christy M. Gerstorff Ralston of Marion, IN, grandchildren, Bryce and Blaise Ralston, of Marion, IN, sisters, Sharon Diana Cottrell and Lora Lines both of Gas City, IN, step-mother, Phyllis Lines, of Swayzee, IN, step-sisters, Linda Lines of Gas City, IN, Joyce Hurd of Marion, IN, step-brothers, Terry McPeak of Lafontaine, IN, Robert McPeak of Marion, IN, and Donald McPeak of Marion, IN.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember at a graveside service at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38 ^th St., Marion, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 2pm. Military honors will be performed at the committal service.
