Daniel Cedrick Baker, age 94, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 9:37 AM on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Veteran Medical Center in Marion, IN.  He was born on Sunday, March 15, 1931, in Hyden, KY.  He married Edith D. (Coleman) Baker on Wednesday, October 10, 1951 in Bluffton, IN. Daniel lived his early years in Jackson Twp. Wells Co. and attended school in Wells Co. before he entered the US Army. He formerly lived in Warren, Bluffton, and Madison before moving to Hartford City. Daniel owned and operated The Hideaway in Bluffton for many years. He was a member of Grover Sheets American Legion Post # 111. Daniel enjoyed life in general, he liked planting trees, and spending time with his family.

He will be forever missed by his children, Victor Faron (Norma) Baker, Geneva, IN, Kim E. (Carol) Baker, Burlington, KY, Linda D. (Robert) Lee, Marion, IN, Danny Chris (Debra) Baker, Bedford, KY, James R. (Tracy) Baker, Madison, IN, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sisters, Thelma Lloyd, FL, and Peggy Tyler, Huntington, IN, brothers, Tom Baker, Warren, IN, and Clarence Baker, Hartford City, IN, and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith D. (Coleman) Baker, father, Gus Baker, mother, Nettie (Thomas) Baker, sisters, Ioleen Fear, Fern Vincent, Gennie Poff, Helen Kay, and Grace Baker, and brother, John Baker.

There will be no visitation or services.
