Debra Lane
Furnish
Dec 26, 1958 — Feb 24, 2025
Debra L. "Deb" Ralston Furnish, age 66, of Warren, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Deb was born on December 26, 1958, to Thurman Jr. and Larelda (Gahs) Ralston. She was a graduate of Huntington North High School and Ball State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communications. Deb married Randy Furnish in Mt. Etna on July 25, 1981. Over the years, she worked at United Technologies and Weaver Popcorn, but found her true calling as the director of the United Methodist Memorial Home (Heritage Pointe) Childcare Program, a role she dedicated 24 years to with loving passion and care.
Deb was a member of Tri Kappa and the Mount Etna Community Life Church. She loved being outdoors—biking, walking, and enjoying campfires. She had a special gift for crafting with her grandkids and never missed their events. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she lived for the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Furnish of Warren, Indiana; her son, Derek (Jenny) Furnish of Huntington, Indiana, and their children Eden (8), Rhett (7), and Wyatt (5); her daughter, Setara (Kyle) Felton of Huntington, Indiana, and their children Kiptyn (14), Kalen (12), and Koltyn (9); her siblings, Ladiana Wiley, Ladean Ralston, Laverne Ralston, Laretta Crago, Lamar Ralston, and Laroy Ralston, all of the Huntington County/Warren area; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember Deb's life on Sunday, March 2, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mt. Etna Community Life Church, located at 6383 W. 600 S. Huntington, Indiana and again at the church on Monday, March 3, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life service beginning at 11:00 AM, officiated by Gerald Ralston. Burial will take place in Mt. Etna Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren, Indiana.
