Dee Anderson, 85, a lifetime resident of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 11:24 PM on Monday, May 29, 2023, at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN.  He was born on Sunday, May 15, 1938, in Montpelier.  He married Patty S. Brock on Monday, August 26, 1957, in Hartford City; she passed away on July 16, 2015. Dee was a former gas station owner of the Texaco/Marathon station on the west side of Montpelier. He retired from Bluffton Rubber in Montpelier after many years of service. In his free-time, Dee enjoyed fishing, tinkering around and fixing things for others, jig saw and crosswords puzzles. He could often be found behind the wheel of his Buick, driving around town. He was a people person through and through and loved spending his time talking and telling stories to family and friends.

Loving survivors include his daughter, Diana Parson, Montpelier, IN, daughter, Becky (Monte) Jackson, Montpelier, IN, son, Barry D. Anderson, Tucson, AZ, son, Greg (Sharon) Anderson, Tucson, AZ, son, Jerry (Teresa) Anderson, Montpelier, IN, son, Tim (Gloria) Anderson, Tucson, AZ, daughter, Tracy (Jose) Ramirez, Tucson, AZ, son, Ronnie (Jennifer) Anderson, Florence, KY, son, Steve Anderson, Tucson, AZ, 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 4 siblings and 5 ½ siblings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mildred (Rogers) Kindlesparger, wife, Patty S. (Brock) Anderson and 1 ½ sibling.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Dee's life will follow at 1:00 PM Rev. Steve Sutton officiating.  Burial will follow next to his wife, in the I.O.O.F. Brookside Cemetery in Montpelier.
