Dennis Eugene "Denny" Sexton, 70 of Van Buren, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at his home.

Denny was born on November 3, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, to Ambrose and Evelyn (Benson) Sexton. He graduated from Marion High School in 1971 and married Michelle (Masters) Sexton on January 5, 1985, in Marion, Indiana. Denny has worn many hats over the years primarily in finance with CNB & a car salesman at Fincannon Ford in Harford City.

He was a former President of Marion Jaycee's and a member of American Legion Post #10 in Marion. While the kids were growing up, he never missed a ball game/ concert or meet. He coached both baseball and softball. He was a car enthusiast and sports fanatic, especially the Colts and Eastbrook Youth Sports, where his grandkids would play. Denny was a loving husband, a strong father, and a beloved papaw.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Evelyn Sexton, and brothers, Robert and Ronald Sexton.

Loving survivors include his wife of 38 years, Michelle Sexton, children, Chad (Tessa) Sexton, Shawn (Alyssa) Sexton, Selena (Wolgan) Ramos, Scott Showen, and Staci (Jerod) Hyden, grandchildren, Jarrod, Samantha, Liam, Lyria, Addi, Avah, Carson, and Elias, great-granddaughter, Teagan, and his sister, Patty Brown, several nieces & nephews.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Van Buren Church of the Vine Fellowship Hall located at 105 S 2nd St. Van Buren, IN 46991, on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm and again on Friday, March 10, from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will begin at 11am Friday with Pastor Brad Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana.
