Ernest M. Girod, 2 months old, of Berne, IN, passed away at 3:34 PM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on Sunday, February 22, 2025, in Fort Wayne. Ervin was of the Old Order Amish.

He is survived by his father - Mark E. R. Girod, Berne, IN, mother - Clara E. Girod, Bryant, IN, paternal grandparents - Reuben J. & Emmie U. Girod, Owingsville, KY, maternal grandparents - Jerry B. & Malinda E.  Girod, Bryant, IN, sister - Clara M. Girod, Bryant, IN, sister - Ann M. Girod, Bryant, IN, brother - Mark M. Girod, Bryant, IN, sister - Emmie M. Girod, Bryant, IN, brother - Matthew M. Girod, Berne, IN, sister - Malinda M. Girod, Berne, IN, and brother - Ruben M. Girod, Berne, IN.

Ernest was preceded in death by his brother- Ervin M. Girod.

Viewing was held at the family residence in Berne, IN, from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with a Funeral Service held at 1:00 PM with Bishop John E. Schwartz officiating.

Interment took place at Bunker Hill Amish Cemetery in Geneva.
