Fannie J. Hilty, 93, of rural Berne, IN, passed away at 3:44 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at her residence in Berne, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, June 17, 1931, in OH.  She married Alvin L. Hilty on Thursday, November 20, 1952; he preceded her in death on May 8, 2008.Fannie was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors include her Sons - Ervin (Ruth Ann) Hilty, Monroe, IN, Milo (Velma) Hilty, Smyrna, ME, Christ (Anna Mae) Hilty, Smyrna, ME, Daughters - LuCynda (Lamar) Hilty, Monroe, IN, Laura (Jerry) Hilty, Berne, IN, Brother - Mose J. Shetler, LaGrange, IN, 37 Grandchildren, 140 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband - Alvin L. Hilty, Father - Jacob Shetler, Mother - Amanda (Herschberger) Shetler, 2 Grandchildren – Micah & Cristy Hilty, 8 Brothers, 2 Sisters, and 2 Great Grandchildren - Ethyn Seth Kauffman, and Chris Hilty.

Visitation will be held at the Hilty Residence located at 388 W. 350 S. Berne on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Hilty Residence on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Hilty Residence at 9:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2024, with Bishop Edwin Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Schwartz Cemetery in Adams County.
