Freida M. Shetler, age 75, of Rural Monroe, IN, passed away at 9:10 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at her home. She was born on Wednesday, November 9, 1949, in New Haven, IN. Freida married Jacob M. Shetler on Thursday, October 19, 1972 in Adams County. Freida was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jacob M. Shetler, Monroe, IN; sons, Henry (Leah) Shetler, Monroe, IN; Freeman (Mary) Shetler, Monroe, IN; Stephen (Elizabeth) Shetler, Monroe, IN; daughters, Wilma (David) Schwartz, Geneva, IN; Melinda (Levi) Eicher, Kokomo, IN; Miriam (Emanuel) Hilty, Monroe, IN; Amanda (James) Graber, Clear Lake, WI; brothers, Amos (Melinda) Kauffman, Fort Wayne, IN; Andy Kauffman, Fort Wayne, IN; Freeman Kauffman, MI; sisters Barbara Graber, Grabill, IN; Rachel Hilty, Berne, IN; 45 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda Shetler; father Henry Kauffman; mother, Clara Mae Kauffman; father-in-law Levi Shetler; mother-in-law, Mary Shetler; brother, Paul Kauffman; sisters-in-law, Annie Kauffman, Betty Kauffman, Lizzie Kauffman, and Carolyn Kauffman; and brothers-in-law, David Graber and Laverne Hilty.

Visitation will be held at the residence of Emanuel Hilty, 998 S, 000 Rd, Monroe, IN, on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at the residence of Emanuel Hilty at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 with Bishop Joni Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in the Schwartz Cemetery in Adams County.
