Gary Wayne Walters, 68 of Huntington, Indiana, passed away on October 21, 2024, at his home.

Gary was born on February 11, 1956, in Huntington County, to Rex Franklin Walters and Dorothy (Money) Wixon. He married Bernadette Mayotte on October 23, 1987 at Plum Tree Church of Christ. Gary worked for the city of Huntington at the landfill and ran it for many years. He loved anything involving tractors including tractor pulls, tractor shows, collecting tractors, rebuilding tractors and horses. There weren't many times in his life that you would see him without his bib overalls and hat on. His family will forever cherish the memories made together, so go rest high on that mountain, son your work on earth is done.

Loving survivors include his wife of 37 years, Bernadette Walters, children, Mindy (Chris Coleman) Bowman, Ian (Julia Grover) Walters, Jacqueline (Heath) Mayotte-Worster, and Daniel (Bernice LaFever) Mayotte, 14 grandchildren and so many others that looked up to him as "grandpa", 1 great grandson, and brother, Jay Dee Walters.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 11am to 1pm at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, located at 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A graveside service will follow visitation at Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana, where Jeff Diamond will speak.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with expenses.
