Gavyn D. Orlando, 19, of Hartford City, Indiana, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Wells Co. Indiana.

He was born on March 23, 2007, in Bluffton, Indiana to Jonathan Orlando and Jill (Carnes) Orlando.

Gavyn attended Blackford Junior-Senior High School and graduated in 2025. He was a Blackford Bruin Football player. He attended Grace Community Church in Montpelier.

He enjoyed video games, playing football, tinkering, fishing, watching and spending time with his friends and family, and most of all, he loved his people fiercely.

Survivors include his parents, Jonathan and Jill Orlando of Hartford City; one brother, Grayer Orlando; and two sisters, Gabriella Orlando and Giovanna Orlando, all of Hartford City; paternal grandfather, John Lancaster of Montpelier; paternal grandmother, Melissa (Tim) Iacobacci of Dayton, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Renda Heyerly, Montpelier, IN; Maternal Great Grandmother; Darlene Twibell, Montpelier, IN, Paternal Great Grandparents,  Mark & Pennie Lancaster, Poneto, IN.  He has several aunts and uncles that include; Joe Beymer, Camden, SC, Jessey (Kelly) Carnes, Montpelier, IN, Michael Dice, Hartford City, IN, Adrianna Lancaster, Greenwood, IN, John Allen Lancaster, Montpelier, IN, Braxton Wine, Fort Wayne, IN, Branston Wine, Hartford City, IN. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Denny Carnes.

Family and friends may gather at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, Indiana, on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. with viewing an hour prior on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Walker & Glancy funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier.

Preferred memorials may be given to Blackford Athletics Department to the Football Program.
