Irene Lucille (Macklin) Weaver, 96, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 8:25 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her home in Geneva, IN.  She was born on Sunday, February 20, 1927, in Fort Wayne, IN.  She married Claud L.  Weaver on Thursday, March 7, 1946 in Geneva, IN. Irene was a 1945 graduate of Geneva High School. She had spent most of her lifetime in the Geneva area. She had worked at Mershberger Stone in Pennville, IN. Irene was a lifetime member of the Portland Moose and was a member of the Dunkirk American Legion Auxiliary. Irene enjoyed collecting salt & pepper shakers and loved going to garage sales.

She will be sadly missed by her Daughter - Pat Brewster, Geneva, IN, Grandson - James D. (Shannon) Brewster, Berne, IN, 3 Great Grandchildren, and Sister - Carolyn Ross, Hartford City, IN.

She was preceded in death by her Husband - Claud L. Weaver, Father - Raymond Macklin, Mother - Nellie (Linton) Macklin, Brothers - Keith & Robert Macklin, and Sister - Kay Parks.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
