James "Jim" Harold Shook, 67, of Marion, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jim was born on July 13, 1956, in Marion, Indiana to Xen Shook and Barbara Jean Small. He attended Eastbrook High School and worked as a truck driver for several years. He also worked maintenance for apartment complexes in Marion and Florida where he met a lot of great people. Jim was a teddy bear who loved life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was always described as sweet and nice with his love of good food and good people.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Xen Shook, Stepfather Richard Spencer, wife, Lucinda Shook, and brother Jeffrey Shook.

Loving survivors include his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Bill Small, siblings, John Shook and Jody Heintz, stepdaughters, Tahlia Bracey and Saliena (Bob) Taylor, stepson George Jessus (Holly) Gould, aunt, Janet (Mark) Tomlinson, uncle, Gary (Naomi) Shook, a "heap" of grandchildren and a gaggle of nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Van Buren Church of the Vine Fellowship Hall located at 108 S 2nd St. Van Buren, IN 46991, from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
