Obituary

Jane Ann Michaud, 84, of Warren, Indiana, passed away on Monday evening, July 27, 2026, at her home.

Born on July 6, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, Jane was the daughter of the late Oliver David Williams and Mary Belle (Losh) Williams. Her mother passed away when Jane was just six months old and she was raised by her grandparents most of her childhood, Fred and Fern Williams. At twelve years old she went to live with her dad and stepmother, Dorothy Waneta (Davenport) Williams.

Jane graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1960 and later earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech in 1986. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy, carrying the values of service, discipline, and perseverance throughout her life. On January 14, 1966, she married Michael G. Michaud, at the Church of Christ Parsonage. Together they celebrated more than 60 years of marriage.

Jane possessed an extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit and an exceptional work ethic. Throughout her lifetime, she owned and operated several successful businesses, beginning with Willow Road Greenhouse. Alongside her husband, Michael, she owned and operated the Gold Seal/Rexall Drug Store from 1976 to 1979. She was also the owner and broker of The Realty Store, taught computer classes to individuals eager to learn new technology, and later established Michaud Tax Services, where she faithfully served her clients for approximately 20 years.

Never one to shy away from hard work, Jane's career also included positions at the Tomato Factory, Gambles Hardware Store, Blue Flame Gas as a bookkeeper, Ness Brothers in Huntington as a Realtor, and as a custodian at the newly opened Salamonie Junior High School. Whatever the role, Jane approached it with determination, integrity, and a desire to help others.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jane found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening and took pride in watching flowers and vegetables flourish under her care. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and creating handmade treasures for family and friends. Long before computers became commonplace, Jane embraced technology and enjoyed both learning and teaching others. The outdoors brought Jane happiness, especially raising a variety of animals over the years.

Above all else, Jane's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Michael G. Michaud of Warren; her daughter, Nicki Lynn (Jack) Zoda of Dillman; her grandchildren, Andrew Michael (Anna) Michaud of Bluffton, Quaid Matthew (Shoshanna) Zoda of Portland, and Aleigha Nicole Zoda of Warren; her great-grandchild, Finnley Randall Zoda and another baby expected in October, and her siblings, Sharon Williams of Warren and Jim (Dotty) Williams of Huntington.

In accordance with Jane's wishes, no public visitation or funeral service will be held.
