Jane Ann (Hinton) Rand of Charlevoix, Michigan, passed away on June 1, 2026. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 3, 1945, the daughter of Alice R. (Houser) and Charles M. Hinton.

Jane grew up just outside of Roanoke, Indiana, and graduated from Rock Creek High School in Huntington County. She had formerly lived in Bradenton, Florida, for 20 years with her husband, William Rand, who preceded her in death in 2010.

Jane worked as a waitress and bartender in her earlier years, bringing a smile to all she met. She is survived by her granddaughter, Madison Yankee,of Michigan; and her brother, Richard (Sandy) Hinton of Warren, Indiana.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Mortensen Funeral Home in Charlevoix, Michigan, and Glancy Funeral Home in Warren, Indiana. Jane was laid to rest at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana with her husbands remains, near her brother.

Pallbearers are Brian Hinton, Richard Hinton, Jim Spangler, Dave Neuenswander, Rodney Richison, and Mark Joiner.
