Jeffrey Lee Gephart, 62, of Montpelier, Indiana passed away on November 11, 2024, at the intersection of Monroe Street and Highway 18 in Montpelier when a utility truck and his motorcycle collided. Jeff was born to the late Jacob L. "Jake" Gephart and Frances Mae (Cook) Cason at the Blackford County Hospital on January 20, 1962. Jeff grew up in the Montpelier area. He moved to Gas City his freshman year and attended Mississinewa High School. Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, riding his motorcycle and simply just being outdoors. Many times, if you passed by his home, you could see him sitting on the front porch watching the traffic go by. His sisters will always appreciate the level of care he showed his mom up until her passing.

Survivors include his stepmother, Joyce Gephart, of Gas City, Indiana, son, Jarrod (wife, Heather) Gephart, of Hartford City, Indiana, 3 granddaughters, siblings, Rita Bennett, of Montpelier, Indiana, Becky Pauley, of Hartford City, Indiana, Dewight (wife, Debbie) Allen, of Alexandria, Indiana, Robin (husband, Jerry) Allmond, of Anderson, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Billy J. Pauley, Jr., and great niece, Harper Lyn Steed.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, located at 109 W. Windsor Street, Montpelier, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 2-4 pm. A service to celebrate Jeff's life will follow at 4pm with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating.
