John E. Coleman, age 64, of rural Montpelier, IN, (Nottingham Twp. Wells Co.)  passed away on May 28, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, May 30, 1961, in Hartford City, IN.  He married Dawn (Phillips) Coleman on Saturday, April 9, 1994 in Portland, IN.  John attended Pennville and Blackford Schools. He worked in construction for Burke Scaffolding in Indianapolis, Lynch Construction in Petroleum, and owned C&C Construction. He loved working on cars and enjoyed spending time with his family.

John will be forever missed by his Father - Bill West, Portland, IN, Son - Brandan (Anastasia) Franze, Montpelier, IN, Daughters - Rachel (Jack) Abbott, Ossian, IN, Robynn Coleman, Ossian, IN, Angela Adams, Ossian, IN, Grandchildren - Jaice Adams, Ossian, IN, Amelia Abbott, Ossian, IN, Sydney Franze, Marion, IN, Carissa (Jay) Franze, Dunkirk, IN, Sisters - Sandy Stone, Portland, IN, Tracey West, Portland, IN, Kathy West, Portland, IN, Brothers - Buck (Cindy) Coleman, Hartford City, IN, James Coleman, Bluffton, IN, several Nieces & Nephews, and 1 Great Grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his Wife - Dawn (Phillips) Coleman, Parents-Meredeth & Glenna (Walker) Coleman, Sons - Perry R. Franze Coleman, Tyson E. Franze Coleman, Jacob Feathers, and Sister - Julie Coleman.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
