John Philip Morrison, 48, of Jackson Twp. Wells County, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at his home. He was born on Thursday, October 12, 1978, in Marion, IN. and spent his early years in rural Hartford City, IN. John married Abigail L. (Pequignot) Morrison on Saturday, July 28, 2007 in Columbia City, IN. John was a 1998 graduate of Blackford High School. He furthered his education at ABC Electrical Trade School in Muncie and worked as an electrician. John worked for Rex Collins Electric in Marion and currently worked for Hy-Line North America in Warren. He enjoyed gardening, water sports, canning, riding dirt bikes, football, baseball, swimming, and wrestling. Above all John loved spending time with his family.

He will forever be missed by his wife, Abigail L. (Pequignot) Morrison, Montpelier, IN, daughters - Adalynn A. and Ava C. Morrison, Montpelier, IN, parents, Philip J. and Linda S. (Poling) Morrison, Hartford City, IN, father & mother-in-law, David A. & Gloria J. Pequignot, Columbia City, IN, sister-in-law, Angela Lane, Columbia City, IN, nephew, Haddyx Lane, Columbia City, IN, cousins - Jennifer Thomas, Hartford City, IN, Paul Landon, CA., Scott Poling, Hartford City, IN, Traci Ball, and Ritchie Harris, aunts, Shirley Clark, Alexandria, IN, Cindy Bogue, Windfall, IN, uncle, Jerry Poling, Marion, IN, and several other friends and family. 

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Carol Landon, and uncles, Larry Poling, and Dave Landon.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to services on Monday, November 2, 2026.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2026 with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Preferred memorials may be made for his Daughter's Education or for a Tree to be planted in Memory of John at their home
