Jon Mahorney Sr., 73, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 5:45 PM on Thursday evening, March 23, 2023, at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.  He was born on Monday, November 7, 1949, in Hartford City, IN to the late George A. & Helen E. (Wright) Mahorney. Jon was a 1969 graduate of Montpelier High School. He married the love of his life, Melody Overmeyer, on June 23, 1976, in Montpelier. He had worked as an auto body repairman for 42 years and loved working on damaged cars, making them look and drive like new.

To honor Jon's wishes, there will be no services held.

Jon will be missed by his wife of 47 years, Melody Mahorney, Montpelier, IN, sons, Jon Mahorney, Jr., Hartford City, IN, & Zackery Mahorney, Montpelier, IN, grandchildren Zackery Mahorney, Mason Mahorney, Alyssa Mahorney, Gavin Mahorney, Jenna Mahorney, & Tristen Mahorney.

He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Mahorney, Jr., mother, Helen E. Mahorney, sister, Vera Moore and brother, Alex Mahorney.
