Judith Marie Chapman, age 82, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 3:10 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born on Monday, September 20, 1943, in Hartford City, IN.  She married William G.  Chapman on Friday, October 13, 1967 in Muncie, IN; he preceded her in death on December 19, 2013.  Judy attended Hartford City High School. She lived most of her life in the Roll area and had lived in Hartford City for the last 2 years. Judy formerly attended Grace Baptist Church in Montpelier. She retired from Red Gold in Geneva in 2010. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Basil Allen (Marilyn) Chapman, Fort Wayne, IN, Lea Alva (Tammy) Chapman, Redkey, IN, Corrinna Marie (Randy) Stotlar, Montpelier, IN, Evelyn Louise Ashley, Ossian, IN, grandchildren, Cindy Stotlar, Kevin Smith, Dakota Stotlar, Stacia Sutton, Cheyanne Stotlar, sister-in-law, Alice Bennett, Hartford City, IN, and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Chapman, father, Russell Clyde Bennett, mother, Evelyn Marie (Cole) Bennett, brother, Kenneth Bennett, and sister, Patsy Bennett.

There will be no services at this time.
