Judy M. Morris, 82, of rural Hartford City, IN, (Jackson Twp. Blackford Co.) passed away at 6:02 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.  She was born on Friday, July 25, 1941, in Muncie, IN.  She married Dannie Lee Morris on Saturday, April 2, 1960 at the Mt. Carmel UM Church; he preceded her in death on September 15, 2015. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Hartford City High School. She furthered her education at Ball State University where she received her master's degree. She had taught at Southern Wells Jr. Sr. schools her entire teaching career and was also the ticket collector at their sporting events.  Judy attended the Bethel UM church. She had been the Jackson Twp. Trustee for many years and was a member of the I.S.T.A, Sigma Phi Gamma in Hartford City, Blackford Co. Election board, and the Hartford City Eastern Star. Just was a 4-H leader and judge. After retirement Judy was a substitute teacher for Southern Wells and Blackford High schools. Judy enjoyed reading books and traveling with her friend, Betty Jo Armstrong.

She will be forever missed by her Sons - Eric L. Morris, Hartford City, IN, Marc W. Morris, Hartford City, IN, Daughters - LeAn Marie (David) Gronowski, McCordsville, IN, Cathy D. Todd, Elwood, IN, Jaime Grimes, Elwood , IN, Grandchildren- Heather (Marlon), Paul, Nathan, Nolan, Kaylee (Justin), Courtney, Sam, Kelsey, Faith, Dannie, Sydnee, Savanna, Great Grandchildren- Jaida, Kavin, Kinsley, Brother - Bill (Vanessa) Peck, Belleville, TX, and Sisters - Kathryn (David) Deak, Granger, IN, and Martha (Sonny) Woodward, Portland, IN.

She was preceded in death by her Husband - Dannie Lee Morris, Father - Webster Peck, Mother - Florence (Frazee) Peck, Daughter in laws- Jeannie Morris, and Deb Morris, and Granddaughter- Christie Gibbs.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Judy's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 with Scott McClain officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City.
