Laurence W. "Pete" Dearduff Jr., age 88, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 3:53 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at his home. He was born on Monday, May 3, 1937, in Grant Co., IN.  He married Mary Ann (Yates) Dearduff on Friday, June 22, 1973 in Upland, IN.  Pete was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School, Upland, IN. He worked for RCA in Marion for several years and for Chaney Hardware in Montpelier. He was a former President of the Montpelier Lions Club and was an Eagle Scout.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann (Yates) Dearduff, Montpelier, IN, Sons, Kenten Dearduff, Montpelier, IN, and Kevin Dearduff, Matthews, IN, granddaughter, Hannah (Cory) Yund, Crawfordsville, IN, great granddaughter, Emily Wheeler, Huntington, IN, and great grandsons, Parker & Rhett Yund, Crawfordsville, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father - Laurence W. Dearduff Sr., mother, Berneta (Thurman) Dearduff, and granddaughter, Tara Wheeler.

Per Pete's wishes there will be no viewing or services.
