Lizzie D. Schwartz, 4 days old, of rural Berne, IN, passed away at 10:45 PM on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on Monday, October 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN, to Daniel D.E. and Rosie D. (Wickey) Schwartz. Lizzie was of the Old Order Amish church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents; sisters, Rosina D., Edith D., and Martha D. Schwartz, all of Berne, IN; maternal grandparents, David W. and Priscilla M. Wickey, Geneva, IN; paternal grandparents, Daniel T. and Dehlia D. Schwartz, Berne, IN; and she will be missed by many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel D. Schwartz Jr.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at the Schwartz residence, 5645 S. Salem Rd., Berne, IN, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Schwartz residence at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 18, 2026, with Bishop Daniel T. Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Creek Amish Cemetery in Adams County.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
