Lizzie Ann J. Schwartz, 82, a member of the Old Order Amish Church, died at her daughter's home in Berne, IN, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 2:30 PM in the afternoon. Lizzie was born on September 29, 1940, in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania to the late John E. & Lydia K. (Byler) Byler. She married Jacob I. Schwartz in Adams County on April 3, 1975; Jacob preceded her in death on June 19, 2017.

Lizzie Ann is survived by 5 daughters and 3 sons; Mary (Daniel EK) Schwartz, Linesville, PA, Susan (Samuel M) Schwartz, Portland, IN, Lydia (Menno G) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Katie (David E) Schwartz, Berne, IN, Frances (Samuel E) Schwartz, Monroe, IN, Samuel JJ Schwartz, Geneva, IN, Daniel JJ (Rachel) Schwartz, Geneva, IN, Jacob JJ (Katie) Schwartz, Geneva, IN, son-in-law Samuel E. Schwartz, sister Katie (Eli) Byler, Middlefield, OH, brothers Eli Y. Byler, Geneva, IN, John Byler, Oklahoma City, OK, son-in-law Jerry E. Schwartz, Adams County, IN, 78 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Lizzie Schwartz, and son-in-law Samuel E. Schwartz.

Viewing hours will be held at the residence, 9100 S. 150 E. Geneva, on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 3:00 PM- 8:00 PM, continuing all day Saturday, January 14, 2023, and the funeral service will take place on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM with Bishop David R. Girod officiating. Burial will follow in the Bunker Hill Cemetery.
