Obituary

Margaret “Marg” Florence Blair, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, at Heritage Pointe of Warren, Indiana.

Marg was born on April 12, 1936, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Theodore Haines and Ella Mae (Lainhart) Haines.

On December 5, 1975, she married the love of her life, Darrell G. Blair at the Keystone United Methodist Church, spending 50 years of marriage together.

Marg was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She was the proud mother of Teresa (Michael) George of Palm Coast, Florida, and Perry Willett of Ossian, Indiana. Her family also included 5 grandchildren; Kari Mateo, Kristen Bunn, Craig Tierney, Scott Wall, and Kevin Wall, as well as 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, who brought her much joy.  She was blessed to be the matriarch of five living generations of her family, a rare milestone that most do not reach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Russel Haines and Chester Haines, and her sister; Betty Haines.

Marg had a variety of interests and enjoyed staying active in her community. She was a member of the Waynedale Eastern Star for over 50 years, participated in sewing groups at Heritage Pointe, and has quilted over 100 quilts in her lifetime. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, and treasured spending the winter months in warmer climates, especially to Punta Gorda, Florida. She loved traveling and made once in a lifetime memories on trips to Alaska. Her many interests reflected her appreciation for friendship and time spent with others.

Marg spent her working career in a variety of fields, one including Walmart for 20 plus years. She also devoted her career towards Franklin Electric, S.S. Kresge, Angola State Bank, and she held the position as a homemaker.

Marg was a member of Solid Rock United Methodist Church and had connections to the Keystone United Methodist Church. Her faith and family remained important parts of her life.

She will be remembered for the memories she created, the family she loved, and the lasting impression she made on those who knew her.
