Marguerite V. McNany, 98 of Warren, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.

Marguerite, lovingly nicknamed "Mick", was born on March 17, 1926, to Bert W. and Cynthia (Farnsworth) McBride in De Land, Illinois. She was the only daughter of Bert and Cynthia's 12 children and is the last of her siblings to pass. Mick's sister-in-law, Margaret "Pugget" McBride is the last of her generation living. She graduated from Bryan High School in Bryan Ohio and married William R. McNany on September 25, 1946. She shared 69 wonderful years with Bill before he passed in December of 2015. Mick and Bill ran the Gamble store in Warren, Indiana until 1984 and owned the WilMar Variety Store in Warren. Upon retirement, they sold the stores in Warren and headed to Missouri where they ran a church campground throughout the 80s and 90s. She was very active in church and her community. She had a servant's heart and thoroughly enjoyed helping others. Mick was a former member of Solid Rock Church and a current member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Huntington, IN. She worked at PJ's Flowers and Gift Shop for many years and also volunteered at the gift shop at Heritage Pointe. Mick was a wonderful gardener. She would attend the Salamonie Summer Festival and enter her African Violets into the flower show. African Violets and her grandchildren were her joys in life.

Mick was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Cynthia McBride, her husband, Bill McNany, and 11 brothers.

Loving survivors include her children, Ray (Tanya) McNany of Wichita, KS, Kathie (Harold) Jones of Fort Wayne, IN, Jim (Tammy) McNany of Warren, IN, and Gene (Candice) McNany of Colorado Springs, CO, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2pm to 5pm at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home located at 203 N Matilda St. Warren, IN 46792 and also 6pm to 8pm on Thursday at Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave. Warren, IN 46792. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, starting at 10:30am at Applegate Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Cindy Osgood and Rev. Chris Lantz will be officiating. Burial will be held at 4pm at Shiffler Cemetery in Bryan, OH.
