Mary R. Gallagher, age 90, of Dunkirk, IN, passed away at 8:14 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at her home. She was born on Saturday, September 28, 1935 at her home in Hillsboro, KY. Mary attended school at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, KY. She had spent her adult life in the Dunkirk area. She retired from Indiana Glass in Dunkirk after 33 years of service. Mary enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, reading, fishing, listening to country music, and spending time with her family. Mary was a wonderful cook.

She will be sadly missed by her Sons - David Nelson Gallagher, Flemingsburg, KY, Kevin Walker Gallagher, Berne, IN, Grandchildren - Michael Gallagher, Berne, IN, Crystal Gallagher, Berne, IN, Sherri Sark, Bluffton, IN, Tonya Newsome, Dunkirk, IN, Amanda Ring, Dunkirk, IN, Travis Gallagher, Flemingsburg, KY, David Matthew Gallagher, Flemingsburg, KY, Jonathan Gallagher, Flemingsburg, KY, several Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren, Sisters -Juanita Mae Talbot, IN, Bessie Hummel, Portland, IN, and Naomi Christine Graves, Poneto, IN.

She was preceded in death by her Former Husband - Albert Walker Gallagher, Father - W. Roscoe Gray, Mother - Jessie M. (Hatfield) Gray, Daughters - Glenda Joyce Gallagher, Mary A. Foor, Grandchild - Jeremy Newsome, and Sisters - Helena Reed, Oleda Francis Saunders, Brothers- Wendell Gray, and Marvin Wayne Gray.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

A service to celebrate her life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026 with Pastor Josh Maller officiating.  Interment will take place in the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, KY. on Tuesday January 13, 2026 .
