Mary J. Schwartz, 74, of rural Berne, IN, passed away at 5:56 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her home in Berne, IN.  She was born on May 10, 1949, in Berne, IN.  She married Martin H.  Schwartz on Thursday, November 7, 1968 in Adams County, IN. Mary was of the Old Order Amish Church.

Schwartz), Berne, IN, Son - Levi (Elizabeth) Schwartz, Bluffton, IN, Son - Paul (Barbara) Schwartz, Geneva, IN, Son - John (Susan) Schwartz, Celina, OH, Daughter - Emma (Emanuel Schwartz), Berne, IN, Brother - Chris (Mary) Graber, Geneva, IN, Sister - Maggie (Amos) Hilty, Bluffton, IN, Brother - John J. She was preceded in death by her Husband - Martin H. Schwartz, Father - Jonas Graber, Mother - Margaret C. (Schwartz) Graber, 3 Grandchildren, Brothers - Jonas Jr, David, Reuben, Samuel, Amos, Daniel, Sisters – Leah, Lydia, and Josephine.

Visitation will be at the Schwartz Residence located at 5711 S. 600 E Berne on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Schwartz Residence at 9:00 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024 with Bishop Alvin A.E. Graber officiating.  Interment will follow in the East Salem Cemetery in Adams County.
