Matthew Wayne Pennington, 64, of Bryant, IN, passed away at 10:07 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his sons residence in Celina, OH.  He was born on Friday, June 13, 1958, in Portland, IN. Matthew attended South Adams High School. He spent most of his life in Jay & Adams Co. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Philippines. Matthew worked for Ohio Decorative Products in Spencerville as a Supervisor and Plant Manager. He enjoyed horses and trained Clydesdales. Matthew loved his dog, Baby girl and spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his Mother - Gladys (Lee) Pennington, Geneva, IN, Sons - Bradley (Melissa) Pennington, Celina, OH, Daniel (Jessica) Pennington, Grandchildren - Olivia Pennington, Dale Pennington, Mason Pennington, Ashley Pennington, Bradley Pennington, Tyler Longsworth, Brothers - Carl Leon Pennington, Berne, IN, Rex A. Pennington, Monroe, IN, and Sister - Mary Pennington, Bryant, IN.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Carl Pennington, and Brothers – Bill, Scott, and Jim Pennington.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 with Chaplain Eric Mulenkamp officiating.  Interment will follow in the Stahl Cemetery in Bluffton. Military rites will be conducted by the Berne American Legion Post 468.
