Max E. Sparks, 78, of Huntington, Indiana, passed away at home on the family farm on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

Max was born on December 7, 1947, in Huntington County, Indiana. He was a 1966 graduate of Lancaster School in Huntington County and spent his entire life devoted to farming. A lifetime farmer, Max found both purpose and contentment in the land. Farming was not only his livelihood, but also his greatest hobby and passion. He especially enjoyed visiting with neighboring farmers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern E. Sparks and Maribelle L. (Lahr) Sparks; his brother, Danny J. Sparks; and his nephew, Jeremy Sparks.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Sparks, of Huntington; his brother, James L. (Vicki) Sparks, of Huntington; his sister, Linda E. (John) Allen, of Warren, Indiana; his nieces, Jody (Allen) Saunders, Shelley (Allen) Kiel, Tiffany (Sparks) Grant, and Kari (Sparks) Dietrich and his nephew, Adam Sparks.
