Melissa Kay (McElhaney) Wilson, 45, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 1:06 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on Monday, November 6, 1978, in Huntington, IN.  Melissa was a 1997 graduate of Southern Wells High School where she was involved in sports and arts. She spent her early years in Jackson Twp. Wells Co. Melissa received her nursing degree from Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. She was a C.M.A at Women's Health Advantage in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and arts & crafts. Melissa was a loving mother, sister, and daughter.

She will be forever missed by her Parents - Terry Lee & Gwenda L. (Leas) McElhaney, Warren, IN, Daughters - Simone A. Wilson & Fiona Wilson, both of Fort Wayne, IN, Sisters - Jenifer Roemer, Huntington, IN, Megan (Justin) Smith, Roanoke, IN, Brother - Brock (Jamie Quenzer) McElhaney, Roswell, GA, Nieces & Nephews - Boedy Smith, Pearly Smith, Damon Roemer, Aaron Roemer, Laci Roemer, Kyle Roemer, and several Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents - Jack & Barbara Leas, and Paternal Grandparents - Ed & Doris McElhaney.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service to celebrate Melissa's life will follow at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 with Pastor Troy Drayer officiating.
