Patty Whitney, 66 of Huntington, IN, passed away at Parkview Huntington Hospital on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Patty was born August 17, 1955, in Huntington, Indiana, to Marion and Vivian (McDonald) Flemming. Her parents preceded her in death.

Patty was a 1974 graduate of Huntington North High School. She worked in factories and drove a semi-truck. She also worked for the Huntington County Community Schools as a bus driver. She was a member of American Legion Post #7 Auxiliary Huntington and Moose Lodge in North Manchester.

Patty is survived by her fiancée, Christopher Dean Fields of Huntington, Indiana, one son, Nick (Darcy) Tackett of Wabash, IN, one daughter, Stacy (Lamont) Wright of Huntington, IN, six grandchildren, Allison, Carter, Quincey, and Julius Tackett, Jaiden Sloop, and Kingston Wright. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Ronda) Flemming of Van Buren, IN, and John (Treva) Flemming of Warren, IN, and four sisters, Mary Randall of Huntington, IN, Phyllis Herring of Huntington, IN, Cornelia (Corky) Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN, and Wanda (Dan) Hinen of Fort Wayne, IN.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis Flemming and Terry Flemming, and three sisters, Viana Johnson, Linda Flemming, and Charlotta Tackett.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home located at 203 N. Matilda St. Warren, IN, 46792, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 10AM to 12PM. A funeral service will follow at 12PM with burial at Red Men Cemetery in Warren, IN.
