Phillip A. Dailey, 86 of Van Buren, Indiana, passed away on July 25, 2024.

Phillip was born on January 1, 1938, in Marion, Indiana to Alvin C. Dailey and Martha (Guy) Dailey. He graduated from Converse High School in 1956. Phillip then served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958. He married Lelia Baxter on Sunday, June 26, 1960, at the First Church of God in Marion, Indiana. Lelia preceded him in death on December 28, 2015. Phillip worked for Fisher Body in Marion where he would retire after 30 years. He also mowed for Arbor Trace Golf Course for several years. Phillip enjoyed spending his winters in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Phillip was a member of the Van Buren Legion Post #368, a member of the Masonic Lodge #711and attended both Van Buren Church of the Vine and Grace Community Church. Phillip also played softball for Rosies in the U.A.W. and had even attended umpire school.

Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Dailey, parents, Alvin and Martha Dailey, grandson, Nathan Wine, granddaughter, Morgan Dailey and sister, Donna Hughes.

Loving survivors include his children, Chip (Patty) Dailey of Van Buren, IN, and Patty (Marty) Wine of North Webster, IN, grandchildren, Bradley Wine, Alisha (Dave) Hoffman, Phillip Dailey, and Joseph Dailey and sister, Anita Small of Marion, IN.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home located at 201 W. Main St. Van Buren, IN 46991, from 11am to 1pm. A funeral service will begin at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion, Huntington County, Indiana.
