Randy Allen Smuts, age 64, of rural Geneva, IN, passed away at 4:53 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on Monday, May 23, 1960, in Huntington, IN.  Randy married Jaretta (Daniels) Smuts on Monday, September 15, 1980 in Geneva, IN.  Randy was a 1978 graduate of South Adams High School and furthered his education at Wyoming Tech where he received his Service Technician degree. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Berne, IN. Randy worked at Yoder Excavating, Slater Steel, Fort Wayne, IN, and HP Products out of Indianapolis. He was also a South Adams school bus driver, Transport Director for Headstart, Portland, IN, and hauled Amish. Randy enjoyed reading, listening to music, history, repairing cars, and was an avid Colts fan. Above all he loved spending time with his grandkids and family.

He will be forever missed by his Wife - Jaretta (Daniels) Smuts, Geneva, IN, Mother - Connie (Black) Smuts, Geneva, IN, Children- Sean (Becky) Smuts, Goshen, IN, Daniel (Stacy) Smuts, Coldwater, OH,  Erin Sills, Bluffton, IN, Quintyn Smuts, Geneva, IN, Ryder Smuts, Geneva, IN, Anastasia Smuts, Geneva, IN, Brother - David Smuts, Berne, IN, and 8 Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Danny Smuts and Granddaughter - Allena Perry.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

A service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 PM with Sean Smuts  officiating.  Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.

Preferred memorials may be made to Downing & Glancy Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
