Rex F. Fisher Jr. 87 of Van Buren, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Rex was born on May 17, 1937, in Jackson Township, Wells County, to Rex Fisher Sr. and Geraldine (Stroup) Miller. He graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1957 and married Sondra (Lee) Fisher on February 20, 1960. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. Rex worked at the Marion VA Hospital for many years.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Rex Fisher Sr. and Geraldine Miller, and grandson Nickolas Fisher Jr.

Loving survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sondra Fisher of Van Buren, IN, children, Rex Fisher III of Marion, IN, Nickolas Fisher of Huntington, IN, and Anthony (Robbie) Fisher of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren, Carli (Jamie) Moore, Cassi (Douglas) Burnam, Mallory (Cory) Duncan, Carrie (Wesley) Holland, Alissa Fisher, Alexander (Claudia) Fisher, Haley (Sean Awaldt) Fisher, Devon (Molly Brown) Guerrero, great grandchildren, Waylon Moore, Walker Moore, Wilder Moore, Thatcher Barnum, Nora Duncan, Nickolas Duncan, June Holland, Cade Holland, Charlotte Bowles, Jack Fisher, Penelope Awaldt, and Willow Awaldt.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home located at 201 W. Main St. Van Buren, IN 46991. A funeral service will begin at 4PM.
