Ricardo Alvarado, 31, of Geneva, IN, formerly of Edcouch, TX, passed away unexpectedly at 12:01 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at his home.  He was born on Saturday, August 3, 1991, in Brigham City, UT, to Ricardo Torres and Norma Garcia Alvarado. Ricardo was a 2009 graduate of Edcouch-Elsa High School in Edcouch, TX. After high school he enrolled at St. Edward's University in Austin, while attending university he studied to become a writer and was a member of the rugby team. Ricardo had a passion for arts, enjoying photography, film, and music. He attended Saint Theresa of Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch with his family. While living in Adams County for the past 4 years, Ricardo was a driver for many local Amish families.

Loving survivors include his mother, Norma Garcia Alvarado, Edcouch, TX, father, Ricardo Torres, Portland, IN, maternal grandfather, Luis Antonio Garcia, Edcouch, TX, paternal grandfather, Richard Alvarado, Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, brothers Hector G. Alvarado, & Julian N. Alvarado, sister, Cecilia N. Alvarado, all of Edcouch, TX, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, located on 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service to celebrate Ricardo's life will follow at 8:00 PM with family members officiating.
